Electrical Verification, Correction, and Commissioning of a Krones Industrial Can Line
Electrical verification, correction, and commissioning of the power, control, and communication systems of a Krones industrial can line.
- Client
- Krones
- Country
- Guatemala
STAR performed the electrical verification, correction, and commissioning of an industrial can line equipped with Krones machinery. The intervention covered the power, control, and communication systems responsible for connecting and coordinating the different machines that form the production line.
The work began with the review and interpretation of the manufacturer's machine-specific electrical drawings and diagrams. This documentation was used to identify circuits, voltage levels, color codes, connection points, and signals associated with motors, servomotors, sensors, actuators, electrical enclosures, and control systems.
A detailed inspection of the existing wiring, terminations, and machine connections was then performed. Conditions requiring intervention were corrected and adjusted according to the equipment's electrical engineering documentation, verifying that each conductor and signal corresponded with its intended origin and destination.
The process included continuity and resistance testing to confirm conductor integrity, together with insulation tests intended to identify possible leakage paths or conditions that could affect circuit operation.
Connections associated with sensors, motors, servomotors, field devices, Industrial Ethernet, and fieldbus networks were also reviewed. These checks validated signal exchange between the machinery and its control systems.
During the final stage, STAR participated in the electrical commissioning of the line, verifying signal behavior and performing the adjustments required to prepare the equipment for coordinated, safe, and precise operation.
Technical execution organized by work fronts, with focus on installation, coordination and commissioning.
- 01Review and interpretation of electrical drawings and diagrams specific to the Krones machinery.
- 02Identification of circuits, voltage levels, color codes, and connection points.
- 03Diagnosis of the line's power, control, and communication systems.
- 04Inspection of wiring, terminals, electrical enclosures, and machine connections.
- 05Correction and adjustment of electrical connections requiring intervention.
- 06Continuity and resistance testing on conductors and electrical circuits.
- 07Insulation testing to verify the integrity of the electrical installation.
- 08Verification of signals associated with sensors, actuators, and field devices.
- 09Testing of Industrial Ethernet and fieldbus connections.
- 10Inspection of power, control, and signal wiring connected to motors and servomotors.
- 11Functional validation of electrical signals during the commissioning process.
- 12Technical support for commissioning the industrial production line.
The intervention corrected the identified inconsistencies and validated the power, control, and communication systems of the Krones line. Connections, signals, conductors, motors, sensors, and industrial networks were tested as part of the commissioning process, supporting safe, coordinated, and precise machinery operation.
